10 Pain Relief Hacks

Its almost the end of 2021, vaccination for most of us is done but, the number of aches and pain are not going away so soon. recently the number of clients with musculoskeletal pain at more than 2 or 3 sites in the body have increased in the clinics. hence we decided to curate a list of must-haves at home for our readers. Sometimes knowing how to deal with musculoskeletal aches and pains is not just a pain reliever but also a money saver.

We at Physiocure definitely know visiting the doctor or the physio can add to your monthly healthcare cost and most people try a variety of things to avoid going to the clinic anyway.

To make things easy, we decided to put together a list of things, one must have to deal with simple aches and pains at home. Our efforts is to not just treat people in the clinic but also to spread awareness of you guys who can help yourself.

here is a list of things you must own to hack your way to pain relief at home.

  1. The Electric Heating Bag can be really handy if you have had a tough day working at home or working out, just place it at a painful spot for 10 minutes and you will be sorted.
  2. Ice packs are essential for all acute and sudden injuries that can occur in a most harmless setting at home or office. whenever you have an injury that is swollen up, it’s a good idea to ice it for the first 24- 48 hours and then seek further resolution.
  3. The Massager is my personal favorite. I’ve had this in my side table drawer for almost a decade now. it comes in handy to relieve neck pain, back pain, or even sometimes calf pains.
  4. Pain relief gel is a good option for a lazy day of resolving those small aches and pains and definitely for chronic or pain with a stronger intensity. however, one must not get addicted to applying them every now and then.
  5. The Foam roller is a must for all those into fitness. if you’re a person who works out 5 days a week, then foam rolling can help you provide self-massage and prevent injuries as well. lovely isn’t it!! money saver and injury saver for fitness freaks.
  6. a Yoga strap is a must-have for people who have mobility issues. I usually practice a couple of stretches using the yoga strap twice every week.
  7. Workout stick can be another useful gadget to keep for not just stretching out the upper body but also for warm-ups before your gym workouts or any sort of sport like lawn tennis or cricket or badminton or weightlifting.
  8. Acupressure balls are good alternatives to massagers. but having them both is not so bad. I use an acupressure ball to roll out tired muscles in the forearms, feet, back, neck occasionally to prevent injuries.
  9. Lumbar support is a must-have at home. although most of us are aware of Ergonomic Chairs and proper sitting postures, most of our couches or sitting positions on the double bed can be really taxing to our spine. having such a product can come in really handy if you decide to sit on the double bed for the next 3 hours to work.
  10. The Neck pillow is a good investment for people traveling for work quite often and those who have had neck or shoulder troubles on and off. having comfortable neck support not only reduces the number of episodes but also prevents the worsening of your troubles.

If you read till the end, BRAVO!!! but remember none of these products can replace the importance of exercise or movement. don’t hesitate to contact me if you are in pain for a long time. till then take care.
